Sometimes Casualty bounces around in the schedules, but you never have to miss an episode in 2024 with our handy guide to all the drama at Holby ED. And you know, there will be drama!

When is Casualty next on?
Casualty will return with a Christmas special in December 2024 called All I Want for Christmas.
The special episode takes place on Christmas Day and, in Holby ED, the team are faced with an emergency blood shortage. Inside the hospital Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) fights to save lives, while outside, Iain (Michael Stevenson) risks his own to ensure the hospital doesn't go without.
All I Want for Christmas will also feature real-life testimonies from contributors who’ve been directly impacted by UK blood donation, as well as interviews with key workers who form the country’s blood service.
Guest stars appearing alongside the regular Casualty cast are Lucy-Jo Hudson (Wild At Heart), Tristan Sturrock (Poldark), Joseph Charles (Breathtaking), Katy Carmichael (Spaced) and Valerie Antwi (DI Ray) .

In the first instalment of a two-part special marking the end of original character Charlie Fairhead's closely guarded exit from Casualty, the veteran nurse vows to prove there is good in the world in the midst of unspeakable tragedy... with disastrous consequences for the nurse, who is left fighting for his life. Elsewhere, Stevie Nash is proven right, but her career is still on the line, and Sunetra Sarker makes a fabulous return as doctor Zoe Hanna.
Charlie — Saturday 16 March 2024 at 9.25pm on BBC1
In the final episode of A History of Violence iconic nurse Charlie Fairhead's life hangs in the balance following last week's shock stabbing. The poignant title is in honour of Derek Thompson's last outing as this legendary character, who has been with the long-running medical drama since its first episode aired on BBC1 on 06 September 1986. The big question is — will Charlie live or die? Either way, hankies at the ready! Elsewhere, Stevie Nash's crisis of confidence reaches a crescendo as the consultant faces a do or die situation, and paramedic Teddy Gowan is at breaking point after the previous episode's devastating events.
Casualty double-bill: System Failure and Core Wounds — Saturday 23 March 2024 from 8.25pm on BBC1
The post-Charlie Fairhead era of Casualty kicks off with a back-to-back double-bill and marks the beginning of new 12-parter Breaking Point.
In the first episode System Failure Rash Masum is in distress following his father's death, but insists that he's fine - will anyone spot that he's suffering as the pressure mounts at work? This episode also introduces hard-to-read new clinical lead Patrick Onley.
In Core Wounds Rida Amaan questions her future at the ED after a catastrophic incident rocks her and Rash, new junior doctor Nicole Piper makes a shocking admission, and Jacob Masters is given a second chance when life throws him an unexpected curveball!
